2024 was the deadliest jumps racing season in Victoria ever recorded. 10 horses were killed following injuries sustained during jumps races and jumps trials. The disastrous season prompted yet another review into the safety of jumps racing, but Victoria decided that the horror should still be allowed to continue.
Despite implementing a further eleven adjustments to improve safety, the 2025 season proved to be statistically as deadly as the 2024 season. While the season was shortened and fewer horses were raced, still six jumps horses were killed in 2025.
Please join us as we protest at the Grand Annual race day at Warrnambool Racecourse starting from 10am on Thursday 7 May, 2026!
Placards and banners will be provided but feel free to also bring your own. Make sure to bring refreshments and appropriate protection against the weather.
