This year at the Golden Slipper, we are choosing compassion.
The Golden Slipper is a horse race specifically for two year old horses held at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse.
While crowds gather for fashion, betting and entertainment, we will be standing peacefully for the horses, especially for the two year old horses forced into this race at such a young age.
Behind the spectacle of horse racing are animals whose bodies are pushed beyond their limits to compete for prize money. Injuries, breakdowns and discarded horses are part of this system.
Join us as we stand together outside the racecourse and say that this cruelty must end.
