Last year was the deadliest jumps racing season in Victoria with 10 horses killed from injuries sustained at races and trials. Half of these horses were killed at Warrnambool.
The disastrous season prompted yet another review into the safety of jumps racing, but Racing Victoria decided that 10 killed horses were still not enough to end the unnecessary killing of jumps horses for the sake of gambling and entertainment.
Please join us when we call for an end to this cruel and deadly “sport” at the Warrnambool Jumps Racing Carnival on Thursday 1st May 2025 from 10am.
Placards and banners will be provided, but make sure to bring refreshments and appropriate clothing for the weather.
