Join us when we protest the Warrnambool jumps racing carnival and honour the memory of Grand Promenade who fell and was killed on what was only the second day of the 2024 jumps racing season in Victoria.
In the 2023 season, 1 in 38 jumps horses lost their lives on the track in Victoria.
According to the 2023 steward reports, an astonishing 84% of all the horses who started in jumps races, had difficulty clearing the obstacles, suffered serious physical damage, died, or was struggling too much to even finish the race.
These statistics provide clear evidence that jump horses are pushed far beyond their natural limits – all for the sake of gambling and entertainment.
Victoria is the only state left in Australia that still permits jumps racing. Let’s have our voices heard loud and clear that this most deadly form of horseracing needs to come to an end – now, before yet another horse dies.
The Warrnambool jumps racing carnival is a 3-day event and we will be there on the final day May 2nd 2024 where the $350k Grand Annual Steeplechase is run.
Dress code: Please dress smart as if you were going to the races.
Conduct: CPR events are strictly non-violent. We advocate for compassion and that’s what we must display in all aspects of our appearance.
